With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cora Koontz of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on November 7, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Herman and Mary Magdalene Gower; and her son Jack Carson Koontz Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Jack Carson Koontz Sr.; her siblings, Harry Gower (Pete), Richard Gower (Dick), Larry Gower (Huck), Robert Gower (Bob), Charles Gower (Charlie), Cleora Forsythe (Bop), Betty Powichrocki, Lula Miller (May), Mary Lee Hall, Gloria Basore (Deany) and Judy Chaney of Hagerstown; her child Robin Jolene Thompson (Roland) of St. James; and her grandchildren, Brian Koontz, Karen Slusher, Rachel Aikens, Chris Thompson, Jennifer Welsh, Beth De Lauter, Mark Koontz Jr., Jason Kendall, Heather Slough, John Thompson and Kaitlyn Dixon.
