He was predeceased by: his parents, George Blumenauer and Sally Blumenauer (Watkins) of Frederick, MD.; his wife Betty Blumenauer (Snyder); his granddaughter Kasey Grimes; and his siblings, Jim, Leonard Blumenauer and Edith Remsburg.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Blumenauer (Linda) of Boonsboro, MD, Donna Blumenauer of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sandy Grimes (Patrick) of Hagerstown, MD, Alan Blumenauer (Cathy) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Mark Blumenauer (Anna) of Middletown, MD.; his grandchildren, Chris Main (Nyssa), Michael Blumenauer (David), Jessica Blumenauer (James) and Kristen Wheeler (Blake); and his great grandchildren, Sophie, Gavin Main, Kolten Coleman, Dyna, Waylyn Creek, Cohen and Cameron Wheeler.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701).
