He is survived by: his wife Rose Geraldine "Gerry" Mattax (King); his children, Douglas Frank Mattax (Audrey) of Frederick, Steven Edward Mattax (Candy) of Waynesboro, PA and Mary Lou Crum (Danny) of Mont Alto, PA; his sister Eileen Edith Andrews of Hagerstown; and his grandchildren, Christoper, Zachery Mattax of Waynesboro, PA, Shane, Luke Mattax of Frederick, Christian and Sydney Crum of Mont Alto, PA..
