He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Slayman and Nannie Slayman (Kendle); his wife Sarah Slayman; and his siblings, Margaret V. Slayman, Etta L. Bartles, Elizabeth Mae Clowdis, Robert L. Slayman, Guy L. Slayman, John Warren Slayman, Edward L. Slayman, George K. Slayman, Eugene R. Slayman and William A. Slayman.
He is survived by: his sister Nancy C. Moats; and his grandsons, Wayne Hawks and John Michael Christopher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
