She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Melvin and Jennie Belle Swope (Cordell); her husband Earl Ardinger Downs; and her siblings, Verna Bradenburg, Betty Burger, Catherine Wallace, Wilda Synan, Richard Swope and Bennett Swope.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa L. Downs of Hagerstown.
