He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. MacKnew and Regina F. Truffer MacKnew; his wife Ruth Evans MacKnew; and his siblings, Jane F. Matulonis and Donald MacKnew.
He is survived by: his children, Aaron MacKnew of Prescott, AZ and Susan Feehley of Hagerstown, MD. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
