In loving memory of George Elston Caniford of Hagerstown, Maryland, who departed this world on June 2, 2025 at the age of 64. George leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Caniford, and George Caniford, Jr.; his brother Frank Merrbaugh II; and his grandson Ashton Caniford. He is survived by: his wife Susie Caniford; his son George (Dayjour Caniford); his grandchildren, Dasan, Gracelyn, Aubrey, Karli, Ashmir, Adryan, Priya and Jayden; his son Ryan Caniford; his daughter-in-law Kara Malott; his grandchildren, Ryan Jr. (RJ) and Zoeigh; and his siblings, Jeffrey Caniford (Mary Burkett), Dixie Pheil (Jeff), Tina Caniford (Pat) and Lisa Wishard (Ray Chavarria). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home (1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park (17636 W Washington St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
