She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Grove and Hannah Grove (Shank); her husband George C. Shank, Sr.; and her siblings, John Grove, Daniel Grove, Clyde Grove, Roger Grove, Ernest Grove and Fay Shank.
She is survived by: her children, George C. Shank, Jr. (Lorene), Linda G. Hendrickson (Gary) and Robert E. Shank (Deborah); and her grandchildren, Lisa M. Morgan, Melissa E. Howington, Stephen P. Shank, Sherry B. Gagnon, Dawn C. Condrey, Brooke E. Taylor, Brandon C. Shank and Bryant W. Hendrickson. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
