He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry David "Chic" Burkett Sr. and Patsy Doris Burkett (Mills); and his son David S. "Scottie" Burkett. He is survived by: his wife Kathi Hartle Burkett (Kokoski); his children, Katrina M. Myers (Brian) and George M. Hartle III; his siblings, Michael W. Burkett (Tina) and Kathy E. Flood (Barry); and his pet Ethel. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews.
