Jack Short Obituary
Jack Edward Short, 71, of Hagerstown, MD passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at Meritus Medical Center. Jack was born February 9, 1946 to the late Clarence L. and Katherine F. (Roberts) Short, and was a 1964 graduate of North High. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca and brothers David and Richard.
Jack is survived byhis wife, Carolyn M. (Jordan) Short, daughters Jessica E. Short of Smithsburg, MD, Katie D. Harbaugh and her husband, Ricky, of Hagerstown, MD, a son, Michael N. (Mick) Short and his wife, Carrie, of Bel Air, MD, and grandchildren Dylan, Emma, Bryce, Kylie and Jaclyn Short, and Jasper and Lily Zimmerman.
Jack was a member of The Goodwill Athletic Club, American Legion Post 202 in Williamsport, enjoyed shuffleboard, baseball, riding his motorcycle, and loved his family.Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory to The Goodwill Athletic Club, 128 N. Mulberry Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740, Attn.: Bill Kline, would be appreciated by the family.
