He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen J. and Mary D. Beard (Eyler); and his siblings, Helen E. Deaver, Betty J. Pashen, Leota M. Mullendore (Bunk), William A. (Jim), Robert Dale, Jack M., Donald E., Charles E., Edward L. and L. Neal Beard Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda Beard; his sister Joyce D. Miner (Happ) of Hagerstown; his children, Johni Dell Jordan, Pam Downin (Rich), Dale Beard (Julie), Tim Beard (Beth), Jeff Kelbaugh and Michael Kelbaugh; and his grandchildren, Brittany Buhrman, Jordan Beard, Kaitlyn Beard, Brooke Jones, Eli Beard, Britton Beard, Jake Demers, Zack Demers, Beckah Colgan, Jeffery, Erinn, Damian, Mary Jane, Zoey Kelbaugh, Michael, Zane, Christian and Rylan Kelbaugh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
