He was predeceased by: his parents, George Albert and Thelma Virginia Carter (West); his wife Kathleen Joanne Carter (Porter); and his siblings, Agnas "Sissy" Gossard, Thomas, George, Odell, Nick, Ray, Jerry and Wayne Carter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Carter-Tobery (Keith), Sandy Gossard-Alton (Greg), Tina-Marie Carter and Sherry-Lynne Carter (Kenneth); his brothers, Richard Carter and Ronald Carter; his grandchildren, Brandy Martz, Clark Martz, James "Noon" Jordan, Casey Rowland, Kiara-Marie Carter and John Carter; his great grandchildren, Lake, Michael, Kammie, Ashlin, Peyton and Lila Jane; and his pet Arya.
