He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Louise (Mowen) and Elmer Sam Nichols; his son John Paul Nichols; and his siblings, Ruth Angle, Linda Newlin, Doris Weller, Husin Obittes, Richard Nichols, Harold Nichols and Roy Nichols.
He is survived by: his sister Loretta Rhynes; his sister-in-law Paula Phillips (Charles); and his close friend Donna Ocker.
