He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Sokol, Sr. and Kara Bercellie; his wife Bette (Bette); his son Steven Sokol; his daughter-in-law Melody Sokol (Kline); his brother Julius Sokol; and his sister-in-law Paula Estock.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Sokol Jr., John Michael Sokol (Linda) and Mary Kathleen Greco (Ron Greco); his granddaughter Laura (Nitin Yadav); his stepgrandson James (Wendy); his great grandchild Aurora; and his brother-in-law Paul John Estock. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Steven Sokol Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. Mary's School, in Hagerstown.
