He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Townsend Burns and Eva May Burns (Simms); his close friend Vada Shipe; the mother of his children Faye Shifflett; his son Kenneth Burns, Jr.; his granddaughter Mandy Boggs; his great grandchild Skylar Boggs; and his siblings, Ralph Burns, Charles Burns, Margaret Null, Mildred Simms, Doris Martin, Edith Smith and Beatrice Fleetwood.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Boggs; his grandchildren, Matt Boggs, Mike Boggs, Monica Boggs, Montana Boggs and Kristy Shirley; and his sisters, Betty Mahoney and Jane McQuay. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
