She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Norman and Blanche Trumpower Bachtell; and her brother Robert N. Bachtell, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Robert Wesley Bowen; her children, Charles N. Bowen (Margaret) of Jefferson, MD, Cynthia Jane Lunn of Gaithersburg, MD and John R. Bowen (Denise) of Smithsburg; her grandchildren, Christopher B. Lunn Bethesda MD (Amanda), James R., Kenzie J. Johnston (Mike) and David W. Bowen (Sarah) of Colorado; and her great grandchildren, Whitney, Samuel, Lucas Lunn, Finley, Adelaide and Wynne Johnston.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Discovery Station Hagerstown, Inc. or the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.
