She was predeceased by : her parents, George Samuel and Louise Laura Bowers (Hays); her sons, William and Dean Bordenave; and her brother William Smith.

She is survived by : her children, Joel Shindledecker and Tammie Shindledecker (Robert); her granddaughters, Shannon Shindledecker Cullison, Laura Pennington and Sara Pennington; her great grandchildren, Christavia Butler, Krishae Butler and Alanie Pennington; and her friend Lonna Stonebreaker.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Minnich Funeral Home (415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
