It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Olen Collis Brake Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Olen departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Olen. Though Olen may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olen Brake, Sr. and Virginia Brake (Martin). He is survived by: his sister Sylvia Brake; and his sibling's children, Jessica O'Connor (Daniel), Amanda Arsenault (Michael) and Adam Mallonee (Taryn). He is also survived by six great-nieces/nephews.
A reception will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home (1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742).
