She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Harold and Goldie Elizabeth Mace (Corathers). She is survived by: her husband Cordell Leonard; her children, Elizabeth Kim (Preston) and Jonathan Leonard; her grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah and Abigail Kim; her brother Andrew H. Mace Jr. (Carol); and her brothers-in-law, Robert and Edward Leonard. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In 2012, she received the ADK Gladys Spellman Award for making significant contributions to the education profession.
