Haines (Childress); his children, Judy Lee Haines and Ray Leon Haines, Jr.; his grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Viar and Jennifer Dawn Moore; and his siblings, Mabel Elizabeth Scott, Helen Haines and Robert Haines.
He is survived by: his grandsons, William Todd Viar and James Allen Haines.
Known for his generous heart, he spent decades caring for local wildlife, rescuing neighborhood strays, and donating blood at local drives.
