With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard D. Rinehart Sr. of Hagerstown, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Richard find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Rinehart and Grace Rinehart (Morningstar); and his sister Donna Rice. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Rinehart (Neikirk); his children, Richard D. Rinehart, Jr. (Sandy) of Gettysburg, PA and Debra Johnson (Jay) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Tracy, Nick, James and Jenna; and his sister Linda Spunich. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Waynesboro Country Club (11000 Country Club Rd, Waynesboro, PA 17268).
