Rita Marlene Mahoney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Marlene Mahoney of Hagerstown, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Marlene Mahoney to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Komanecky and Anne Komanecky (Serafin); and her sister Roberta "Bobbi" Sandorf. She is survived by: her husband Regis Mahoney; her daughters, Laureen Lipscomb (Frank) of Jefferson, MD and Beth Wright of Seabrook Island, SC; her siblings, A. Nicholas Komanecky (Jo Ann) of Liberty Township, OH, Richard Komanecky (Kathy) of Strongsville, OH and Rosemary Johnson (Ronald) of Uniontown, PA; and her grandchildren, Matthew Raines of Hampton, VA, Nicholas Wright of Arlington, VA, Natalie Wright of Clearwater, FL and Bethany Lipscomb of Baltimore, MD.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Ann Catholic Church (1525 Oak Hill Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church (address listed above), or St. Mary Catholic School, 218 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, MD.
