He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Marshall and Rachael Elizabeth Miller Shoemaker; and his sisters, Alverta Mellott, Mary Jane Smith and Gloria Mills.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Ann Cooper Shoemaker; his daughter Christine Eichelberger of Hedgesville; his stepsons, Timothy of Falling Waters and Paul Ausherman of Falling Waters; his grandchildren, J. L. Eichelberger, II of Hedgesville, Tracey Fink of Martinsburg, Tammy Hinkle of Falling Waters, Charity Diep of Hagerstown and Holly Rowland of Hedgesville; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Hai, Faith, Jasmine, Josh, Bethany, Destiny and Tiffany; and his sister Lanca Lou Mills of Hagerstown.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (600 S Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
