He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Shoop and Helen Peltz (Reid); and his wife Mary Lou Shoop. He is survived by: his sister Carol Long (Howard); his stepchildren, Paul Umfer (Lisa) and Dr. Laura Umfer; his nephew Dr. Michael Long; his niece Sherri Dennis; and his stepgrandchildren, Isabella and Allexa Umfer.
