In loving memory of Roberta Mae Niklewski of Hagerstown, Maryland, who departed this world on February 21, 2026 at the age of 89. Roberta leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Joseph and Hilda Mae Woods (Brobst); her husband Ed; her close friend Fran Fox; and her siblings, John and Norma.
She is survived by: her children, Carol of Hagerstown, Rich (Sheri) of Hagerstown and Dave of Hagerstown; her grandchildren, Jason Bender (Kim), Chris Niklewski (Chandra) and Shanna Corbin (Jason Knorr); her great grandchildren, Amanda Bender Barnes, Marlie Niklewski Mitchell, Brezlynne, Vitor Bender, Mitchell, Amara Mae Niklewski, Corbin and Fiona Knorr; her great great grandchildren, Aiden Barnes and Brenna Mitchell-Coleman; her sister Linda; and her sister-in-law DeVona. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery (1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742).
She developed the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Program at Washington County Hospital, working with the Johns Hopkins Hospital Dementia Research Clinic.
