He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Alberta Heffner (Wachter) and Clark Eugene Heffner; his cousin Everett Jack Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Sally and Myron Stryffeler.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Stryffeler Heffner; his sons, Ronald L. Heffner and Blaine C. Heffner; his sister-in-law Lou Ann LeFever (Karl); his nieces and nephews, Katherine, Matthew LeFever (Amanda) and Wachter; and his goddaughter Addison Goldenberg.
