She was predeceased by: her parents, Holland R. Nigh (Doc) and Aletha M. Nigh (Eckstine); her husband Harry T. Barger, Jr. (Bud); her sister Harriett Betty MacAdoo of Louisville; and her nephew Brian Nigh Elliott of Louisville, KY..
She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Kirk Barger (Annette) of Indianapolis, IN and Eric Barger (Carol) of Hagerstown, MD; her grandchildren, JoyLynn Nesbitt (Matt) of San Antonio, TX, Ryan Barger (Alejandra) of Lyman, SC, Melinda Kline (Abram) of South Dakota, Hannah Dean (Orland) of Hagerstown, MD, Landon Barger of Carmel, IN and Harrison Barger (Tiana) of Hagerstown, MD; and her great grandchildren, Jade Nesbitt, Amelia Nesbitt, Harper Dean, Elliott Barger, Liam Barger, Beckham Barger, Eden Barger and Cannon Barger. She is also survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and spouses and great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
