It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Martin Sheppard Sr. of Hagerstown, Maryland, born in Round Hill, Virginia, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sheppard and Ola Sheppard (Costello); his wife Linda Jean Sheppard; and his sister Grace Kuykendahl. He is survived by: his children, Tamarah Hose and Samuel M. Sheppard, Jr. (Rhonda); his grandsons, Andrew Stone Sheppard and Jeremy Daniel Perley; and his siblings, Bunny Higginbothan and David Francis Sheppard.
