He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur P. Hammond and Barbara Jean Hammond (Gallaher); and his half-sister Faith Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Scott D. Hammond, II (Maxine) of Greencastle, PA, Layne W. Hammond (Katelyn Davis) of Cockeysville, MD and Riley K. J. Hammond (Mackenzie Arbogast) of Waynesboro; and his brother Kevin L. Hammond (Olivia) of Waynesboro. He is also survived by one niece; and two nephews.
