Sidney Sylvester (Sid) Donivan, Jr. Obituary

Sidney Sylvester Donivan, Jr., 62, Capon Bridge, West Virginia, formerly of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, Maryland. Mr. Donivan was born November 10, 1953 in Shenandoah County, Virginia, son of the late Sidney Sylvester Donivan and Mazie Mae Mumaw Donivan. He had worked for 14 years at O'Sullivan Corporation and then 16 years at Allied Wood Products.

He married JoAnn Benson Donivan on March 17, 1975 in Winchester, Virginia. Mrs. Donivan died May 28, 2006. He later married Debra Lynn Donivan. Surviving are two sons, Jason Junior Donivan and his wife, Shanna, of Capon Bridge, WV and Robert Sylvester Donivan and his wife, Tonya, of Cross Junction, VA; two sisters, Judy Donivan of Georgetown, FL and Peggy Ann Hodson of Strasburg, VA; four brothers, Steve Allen Donivan of Stephens City, VA, David Dean Donivan of Clearbrook, VA, Timothy Allen Donivan of Inwood, WV and Joseph Scott Donivan of Strasburg, VA; step-daughter, Rachel Lowery of Winchester, VA; and five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 P. M. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA with Pastor Steve Wymer officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, VA. Pallbearers will be Brandon Barnard, Delbert Whitacre, Daniel Dill, John Helmick, Todd Meade and Richard Mason.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Meade and Josh Donivan. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. Monday evening at the funeral home.
