He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edwin Barklow and Ruby Kemp Barklow; his siblings, Danny Barklow, Pamela Bryant and Melody Thorpe; his stepsisters, Shirley Wetzel and Carolyn Squibb; and his brother-in-law George Doody.

He is survived by: his wife Deborah Barklow; and his sisters, Eleanor R. Williams (Everett), Jennifer Doody of Bohannon, VA and Kimberly Dorsey (Evan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
