She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cavey, Sr. and Mary Johnson; her husband George Summers; her brother Tom Cavey; and her son-in-law Timothy Shafer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Shafer and Holly Bell (Kevin); and her brother Steven Cavey (Anne). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Reformed United Church of Christ (201 N Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21742).
