He was predeceased by: his parents, Theordore Martin Myers and Helen Irene Myers (Marshall); his daughter Tera J. DeMayo (Myers); and his siblings, James Myers, Theodore W. Myers, Anna Irene Swartz, Doris Durban, Delores Sowers, Beatrice Lowry, Joyce Hill and Gloria Sneckenberger.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Dove Myers; his daughter Melanie Dove Goldsborough-Hodge; and his grandsons, Jimmy and Sam Goldsborough.
In lieu of flowers, Vernon would prefer contributions be made to Brooke's House, 17670 Technology Boulevard, Hagerstown, Maryland.
