He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce William Smith and Lily Hudson Smith; his wife Dorothy Alise Smith; and his brother William B. Smith. He is survived by: his son Walter Jackson Smith, Jr. (Kimberly); his grandson Grant J. B. Smith (Lindsey) of Cole, A. B.; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Rae Smith and Reese Jackson Smith; and his sisters-in-law, Margie Smith and Ruby Sheppard.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (600 S Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
