He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Cole and Edna Cole (Armacost); and his wife Betty Osborn Cole. He is survived by: his children, Dawn, Donna and Dale; his brother Charles; his sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Marlene; and his son-in-law Gary. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
