He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. and Mildred Ruby; and his brother Ernest H. Ruby. He is survived by: his wife Paula Ruby; his children, Ernest Gary Ruby, Jr. and Rachelle Bodvin (Christopher Bodvin); and his grandchildren, Collin, Shannon, Elizabeth and Aidan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one of three charities Gary enjoyed helping.
