He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard Walter Schultze, Sr. and Eleanor Schultze; his wife Helen Fleming Schultze; his sister-in-law Peggy Germeten of York, Pennsylvania; and his godson Tré Arnold of Middle River, Maryland. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
