He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Peters; and his parents, John Sr. Peters and Beatrice Blatchley Peters. He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Pettit, John Peters, III (Karen), Michael Peters (Dawn) and Susan Cody (Steve); and his sister Jane Geier. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
