He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Reed and Ruth Reed; and his daughter Wendy L. Reed. He is survived by: his wife Jan M. Reed; his children, David D. Reed (Mary), Dawn D. Rhoten (Donald), Roxanne Genson (Steve), Jennifer Wickham (Dave) and Kevin Porter (Megan); his grandchildren, Casey Rhoten, Jamie Meehan, Jeremy Reed, Lathan Porter, David Hiser and Austin Wickham; his great grandchildren, Zohy, Isla, Drew, Levi and Lathan; and his siblings, Barbara Nancy Schaffer (Kenneth) and Shirley Martin (Robert).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Eline Funeral Home (934 S Main St, Hampstead, MD 21074). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
