With sadness, we share the passing of George Kelly Manning Jr. of Hancock, Maryland. George, born on September 20, 1934 in Needmore, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kelly Manning, Sr. (Doc) and Icy Fern Manning (Hoyle); his wife Betty Christine Divel Manning; and his siblings, Winston Manning, Catherine Beatty, Virginia Beatty, Mary Mellott, Beulah Fearnow, Violet Trittipoe, Velma Vibbert and Barbara Manning.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Rollins (Larry) of Hancock, Kelly Manning of Hancock, Lydia Manning of Hancock, Jeff Manning (Lisa) of Hancock and Cindy Manning of Hagerstown, Maryland.; his grandchildren, Adam Rollins of Greencastle, Tim Rollins of Hancock, Alura of Greencastle, Julie Bender of Hancock, Dylan Keefer of Hancock, Amber Wills of Hancock, Wayne Keefer of Hagerstown, Georgia Manning (Tanner Manning) of Hagerstown, W. Va of Hagerstown, Jerrett McCormick of Hagerstown, William Boyer of Hagerstown, Chesney Sydnor of Hagerstown and Levi Sydnor of Floral City, Florida.; and his great grandchildren, Sunni Schriver, Emma Schriver, Lincoln Bender, Leland Bender, Lillie Keefer, Blake Keefer, Alexis Canfield, Easton Bain, Marshall Bain, Baby Bryner, Walker Manning, Dean Manning, Manse McCormick, Kinnon McCormick, Kase McCormick, Chance Boyer, Oliver Boyer and John Sydnor.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hilltop Christian Fellowship (12624 Trinity Church Dr, Clear Spring, MD 21722). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
