He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Mitarotondo and Angelina DiMaggio Mitarotondo; and his siblings, Joseph Mitaro, Rocco Mitaro, Anne Meo and Mary Tolve.
He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Mitaro; his daughters, Janet Grainger (Ed) of Havre de Grace, MD and Joanne Mitaro (Connie Crandall) of Decatur, GA.; his grandchildren, Renee Mentzer (Chris), Amanda Vincenti, Rosalie Pantano (Daniel Nicholai) and Nicholas Pantano (Katie Glaeser); and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Delaney, Kinsey, Matilyn Mentzer, Jade, Lila Vincenti and Maximus Nicholai.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
