Loretta Shanks Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Loretta Shanks of Havre de Grace, Maryland. Loretta, born on July 12, 1942, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Lytle and Jean Comer; and her brothers, Clifton Edward "Butch" and Clarence Fulton Lytle. She is survived by: her significant other Vincent Diaz; her daughters, Sheila Boyer and Laura Galvin; her siblings, Norma Jean Corcoran and Dan Lytle; and her grandchildren, Mitchell Boyer, Bradley Boyer, Timothy Galvin, Christopher Galvin and Cecelia Rhoads. She is also survived by the grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (110 W Bel Air Ave, Aberdeen, MD 21001).
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Senator Bob Hooper House, a hospice center in Forrest Hill, MD.
