In loving memory of Shirley Mae Graves of Havre de Grace, Maryland, who departed this world on July 18, 2025 at the age of 92. Shirley leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As we bid Shirley farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Shirley is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur LaPenotiere and Josephine Booth; her husband Harry Clarence, Jr.; and her grandson William Harry Burkheimer. She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Koffinke, Eva Browning, Julie Shaker, Janet Handelman and Christina Graves. She is also survived by her five daughters, twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church (3111 Churchville Rd, Churchville, MD 21028).
Shirley's request was that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Smith's Chapel.
