He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Swart and William Swart; his brother Dennis Swart; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Swart. He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Billy and Michele McGrogan; his children-in-law, Kristen Swart and John McGrogan; his grandchildren, Bailey, Lacey, Max, Matt and Kaylee; and his siblings, Donna Valdes (Julio Valdes) and Robert Swart.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Zellman Funeral Home (927 Pulaski Hwy, Havre De Grace, MD 21078). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (615 Congress Ave, Havre De Grace, MD 21078).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
