He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Shirk and Mary Lois Shirk; and his grandparents, Elmer and Bertha Brown. He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Shirk and Marianna Wehnes; his wife Ella Mae Shirk; his children, David Shirk and Cheryl Amthor; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Gatlin, Jessica, Jordan, Christian, Tatum, Hallie, Daisy and Jackson.
