He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Meilhammer and Mabel Meilhammer; his wife Henrietta Meilhammer; and his brothers, Kenneth Meilhammer and Tom Meilhammer.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Meilhammer, Jr. of Salisbury, Nicole Meilhammer of Salisbury and Lori Meilhammer of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Whitney Meilhammer, Steven Meilhammer, Casey Sessoms, Camryn Sessoms, Stiles Gaskins, Sierra Gaskins, Sydney Gaskins and Nathan Smart; his siblings, Joe Meilhammer (Linda), Jeff Meilhammer (April), Elaine Baumann (Jack), Cathy Melson, Cecelia Hales, Grace Prettyman and Lisa Vickers (Darryl); and his close friend Cassie Locke.
