He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thomason Thomas and Mary Louise Dadds Thomas; his wife Sharon Anne Thomas; his son Brian Unruh; and his brother Baby Boy Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Russ (Steven) of Hillsboro, Dawn Shorter (Terry) of Preston, James Warren "Jimmy" Thomas, Jr. (Cher) of Federalsburg, Anna Thomas of Mardela Springs, MD and Thomas Unruh (Karen) of Henderson; and his sister Mary Jo Connell of Stevensville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home (12 S 2nd St, Denton, MD 21629). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
