She was predeceased by: her parents, Merton Vincent Emmert and Twylah Felice Emmert; her adoptive father Lyle Wilbur Mader; her husband John Hanson Briscoe; her sister Sandra Clipsham; her former husband Michael Brandt; and her son Grafton Brandt.

She is survived by: her son Adam Lyle Briscoe; her stepchildren, Lisa Briscoe, Jan Briscoe, John Hanson Briscoe, Jr. and Dana Briscoe; her siblings, Sherry Fletcher, Steve Wilbur Mader and Larry Merton Mader; and her grandchildren, Quin Briscoe and Soyer Briscoe. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at 44296 Sotterley Wharf Rd, Hollywood, MD 20636.
