With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Derek Sabedra of Huntingtown, Maryland, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Derek left this world on July 3, 2025 at the age of 56, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Derek leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Derek may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Lauren and Nicholas; his godson Flynn Feeley; Jordan and Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://fundraising.stjude.org. or to your local youth tennis programs, two causes that were especially close to Derek's heart.
