She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Victor Lane and Effie Marian "Midge" Cheezum; her husband Donald Lee Powell; and her siblings, Kenneth Victor Lane, Jr., Nancy Messick and Thomas Lane.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Powell (Carolyn) of Hurlock, Dale Powell (Katharine) of Mclean, VA and Debra Townsend (Gary) of York, PA; her grandchildren, Christopher Powell (Heather) of Hurlock, Julie Everhart (Brian) of Belair, Stuart Powell and Claire Powell of Mclean, VA; her great grandchildren, Morgan Powell, Hayden Powell of Hurlock, MD, Lauren Everhart and Brooklyn Everhart of Belair; and her siblings, Vickie Blades (Wayne) of Salisbury and Eddie Lane (Cindy) of Federalsburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Framptom Funeral Home (216 N Main St, Federalsburg, MD 21632). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in Margaret's honor may be made to the Hurlock Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 178, Hurlock, MD 21643 and or to the Hurlock First Baptist Church, 301 Poplar St., Hurlock, MD 21643.
